Hi all,

The move is almost over, and the laptop formatted and back in order, so it
is time I came up for air and got some email addressed.

It seems that Matt Benjamin has issues with the Meeting Notes from the 1-28
meeting. Regardless of the content there is no wording to effect that we
have labeled Matt a "CRACKER". There is, however, a reference to "White Hat"
and "a Nerd's Nerd" that may be offensive (a strong word, in this case) to
some.

Matt has built his business, and reputation, on his intellect. May it be
sensitivity, hyper-sensitivity, or pride he has an impression that he would
like to continue to portray. That is fine.

To make issue as to his timely attendance is irrelevant, we waited (with
reminders emailed to him) and we have to accept that he came when he did.
What is done is done.

A simple email to the list quoting Matt's objection, and our response should
suffice. The original Meeting Notes stay as published, and archived. The
"retraction" or "correction" will be published and archived as well. I will
be happy to word the reponse to his objection and have the thing done.

News organization publish retractions and corrections all the time. They
occupy the space available, which is why generally they go unnoticed.

Thank you,
Todd Pillars
