[KLUG Members] Anyone else have this Gnumeric problem?

If I enter =value(c2) into a gnumeric cell, it comes back with an
invalid expression error.  If I then delete the contents of the cell and
use f(x) to build the formula =value(c2) for the cell it works.

Notice the striking similarity between =value(c2) and =value(c2)!

Of course this works in Star/Open office (just entering the formula). 
But them SO/OO truncates any imported XLS file beyond 32,767 rows. :(

Maybe one day there will be one spreadsheet on Linux that can do
everything I do correctly, and I won't have to constantly use two....
