[KLUG Members] Dia with freetype for RH8.0 RPM

Was talking to Dirk last night to discover he has the same problem with dia on
RedHat 8.0 that I do - really spread out fonts.  

And I've also noticed that one can't actually pick 99% of the fonts from the list.

So I groused around a bit... and discovered that RH build dia for RH8.0 without
freetype/Xft support.  So running on a TrueType/Xft enabled display is going to
be a bit wonky.

I downloaded the SRC SRM, diddled the spec file to enable freetype, and built a
new RPM.

If you use Dia on RH8.0 try
ftp://ftp.kalamazoolinux.org/pub/projects/awilliam/misc-gnome/rh80/dia-0.90-9xft.i386.rpm

No gaurantees it doesn't break something else,  but fonts for me now look normal
again.
