Yes, i've been looking at that.
# service xfs status
xfs dead but pid file exists

arooah? The above cmd was after a service stop/start command. The service is reported as having strted ok by the 'service xfs start p' cmd.
So either something is stuck in /proc (is that extremely unlikely normally?) or the xfs is dying on start.
plz excuse the brevity and terseness, typing on zaurus is less than enjoyable.
