[KLUG Members] Wireless Access Point recommendation?

Hello All,

Today, I was told to add a wireless access point to our LAN :0

I am concerned about having this insecure thingy I know little about sitting
behind my firewalls.

I quickly read that WiFi Protected Access (WAP) followed by 802.11i is
supposed to be more secure than WiFi alone. But, it sounds like WAP and
802.11i are not implemented yet. I am especially suspicious about new
devices with new untested protocols. (I believe that "more secure" is a
euphemism for a challenge between hackers and crackers to see who can find
the weakest link first. One wants to fix it the other wants to exploit it.)

Does anyone have any very specific recommendations that might help my palms
stop sweating?

Bob
