I agree, there are many Open Source VPN solutions.  Simply connect the
WAP to a neutered network subnet with a VPN server sitting between that
subnet and the real net.  Wireless users simply have to establish a VPN
in order to actually do anything.  

I think the whole WEP-encryption-sucks argument is pretty dumb, that
isn't where encryption belongs.  Do you sent important information
unencrypted over the Internet?  What's the difference?
