if you can figure out Windows, you'll be able to figure out Mac OS X in 
half the time. While I am still an avid Linux user, I'm now also a 
strong advocate of Mac OS X. Also, Apple has a feature called 
"speakable items" which allows you to verbally tell the computer what 
to do. Speakable Items does not do speech-to-text. you would need a 
third-party application.
