You should have log entries for every message that is blocked in
/var/log/maillog This is one example from my log file:

Jan 14 11:28:53 mail sendmail[26782]: h0EGSq126782: ruleset=check_relay,
arg1=[216.9.66.141], arg2=216.9.66.141, relay=[216.9.66.141], reject=553
5.3.0 Spam blocked see:http://spamcop.net/bl.shtml? 216.9.66.141

BTW, in the last four weeks, spamcop's DNSBL has blocked between
2000-3000 spams PER WEEK on my employer's sendmail server. And we're a
small company! The high was four weeks ago, where it blocked 3065 spams
in ONE WEEK.
