I would have been positively acrimonious about it if I'd been there. This
is to a great degree a no-brainer... and in the end, you guys came up with
[more or less] the right decision. I woulda started with Java and Javascript,
but I've been through this before. THr lesson I've learedm, for lots of 
reasons, is that if you want a serious crack at code that won't ruin your 
life, keep it portable and independent of the clutches of any vendor. It's
hard, but possble, and easier tham the alternatives.
