I was having the same problem with the 7.0 disk set, and had no better
luck resolving the issue.

Yes, it looks RedHat may be using Python for a lot of these utilities 
now.  If I recall from my 'strace' attempts, the program attempts to
open any of a series of locations that this tree should be found, but I
haven't been able to get beyond that, and frankly, I don't have that
much time to dink around with it.

Could be, but I kind of doubt it. If anything, I'm guessing the tree
ain't planted where it's supposed to be. How to find out where it IS, I
couldn't say off the top of my head. Ideas, anyone?

I have noted that not everyone seems to have this problem. What little I
have found on the web seems to suggest that for some people it just
comes up like it's supposed to without a single complaint. Others,
well... so far, I haven't found any replies to their predicament.
