I discovered qfaxreader (check freshmeat or sourceforge for it) a while
ago. It's pretty nice.
You can use that to read the multi-page files, export them to ps (print
to file) and then use something like The Gimp to convert them back to
Tiff....
or--If I may be so bold--it might be best to leave them as ps or pdf
because those are pretty standard document formats and they're easy to
print, etc...
