I have an old compaq Armada 4131T laptop that I have had around for ages. I
finally picked up a convenience base off of ebay not too long ago but thus far
I have not been able to figure out what driver - if any - will work with the
ethernet device in it. It identifies itself as "Compaq Armada integraded
ethernet control" from what I can see on the win9x drivers. (The newest drivers
on the compaq site relate to win95 and NT 4.0.)

I went through the linux-on-laptop resources on the net and although there are
a lot of listings for 4100 series armadas, most of the folks are either not
specifying anything for networking or are using an external network card of
some sort.

My hope was to use this box as my NAT box right after the cable modem using my
linksys 10/100 pcmcia card (which works fine already) for the internal network
and the integrated (10 only) controller to talk to the cable modem.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what linux driver(s) to try
using with the integrated controller on this old beast?

Scott
