Set of three BSware "fine" CDROMs containing RH 7.3

System Configuration:

Pentium III 500 MHz
256 MBytes
Brand new 20 GByte HD (of which 6 GBytes allocated for linux and app's)
No other disk or O.S. to contend with.

Nothing else fancy ... RIVA 128 video card, Komodo 17" monitor, CDROM,
floppy

IMHO it is taking too long time to install ... guesstimation by the RH
install software at this point (still on the first CDROM at this juncture)
... is somewhere around 6 hours + ;>)) Maybe it speeds up when I get to
the second and third CDROMs or I have the "slo-mo" switch on ;>))

Now, I selected the whole kit and caboodle (KDE, GNOME, software dev tools,
games) to be installed (approximately 2.043 GBytes), but doesn't this seems
like an inordinate amount of time considering I have installed this same
software (minus the games stuff) on three other disparate systems with
minimum or little trouble using the RH GUI provided interface. Length of
installs did vary, but minor time differences and was about alittle over two
hours in length. I did not actually time them though. Oh well ... part of
the fun and games I guess, huh?

Anyone else experience such large guesstimates on install efforts?

Thanks in advance.
