Merely trying to give you additinal ways to see if there were problems or 
progress.

I see from your subsequent message that there is indeed progress... I wonder 
why it is sooooo slowwwww.... It will be interesting to see, one the system is 
up, whether other CD reads are similarly slow...

There will be a reprise of the presentation mentioned above, at a KLUG
meeting in the not-too-distant future! I've updated it as the technology has 
changed, and will have different hats (well, some) ... come, learn how the
Internet REALLY works, and see if you can tell which ones are new...
