Are you running a stable or "Testing" version of Debian? in case you don't
know, Debian has three levels of thier OS:

Stable - No bugs for a year! (Hmmm....)
Testing - No bugs for 10 days (RedHat Normal)
unstable - Absolute bleeding edge (RedHat Rawhide)

As I understand it, there are the levels to Debian. While a "Stable"
version of Debian might not include a Tulip driver, a testing distro just
might.

Quick way to change down to the next level (or up - depends on how you read
it)

   in /etc/apt/sources.list:

change the word stable to either testing or unstable and save. Then apt-get
update to capture the new sources lists. Once that done, do a:
apt-get dist-upgrade and your all set on the next level!

I started messing with Debian about 1 month ago because I'm not happy with
RedHat killing off 7.3 at the end of the year and FGM (Free Geek Michiana) has
decided to use Debian as the standard platform across our organization
(Freebox, Freelan, NPOservers)

I'm still learning Debian but really impressed with apt-get. It makes
keeping your system up to date a whiz! I'm having trouble with the X stuff and
still need to learn Debian SMP before I can move my production mcahine at home
to it.

   Hopes some of this helps...
