I assumed when you configured squid you also adjusted the proxy/firewall

Could I have configured squid without knowing it? I don't remember
editing any iptables. I'm not sure i'd know how. Is it a file?

I have looked in the squid.conf file before but i did not change
anything in it.

I am going to work now to test the "telnet www.yahoo.com 80" it works
at my home computer.... now lets try it where it needs to work!

Thanks for your help!!!
