A dual boot would be just fine. Personally I've never really liked that. I figured if I wanted a Windows box I'd get a Windows box.

Samba allows Linux to read and write CIFS so if sharing data is what your after then Samba is the solution. If you want to run Windows programs however, you should look into one of the other solutions mentioned in this thread.
