We've discussed data access from Linux before, tonight we return to that
topic. Having NNTP, LDAP, and SQL servers that are reliable, fast, and
free is wonderful. But how about using that data on your Linux
Desktop/Workstation? Want to create merge documents (address 10,000
envelopes), generate bar codes from a database, create pretty reports
for the suits? Here is how. And alot has changed since last time we
visited the realms of ODBC, GDA, and their kin.
