Well, guess what? My fellow SuSE users are going to LOVE to hear this:

plugging in a Sony CLIE into a SuSE workstation, and then pointing 
KPilot to the device in the settings, and you've got, with one minor 
configuration, a fully functioning Palm <-> workstation sync.

and, not too oddly, it works better than the windows utilities that do 
the same thing.

Don't know why they don't work on Red Hat machines, but apparently it's 
not an incompatibility, just maybe another hardware issue with Red Hat 
(like NVidia cards)
