I ordered the cheapest thing I could find on TigerDirect.

this is for my gf's mom, and she needs the machine running again in as
little time as possible, and also put a price cap at $100. so, I got a
$52 Gigabyte MB and a stick of ram to make it have 256 to run XPee
halfway-decent. it's one of those
everythings-integrated-so-you-don't-even-get-an-agp-slot type of
motherboards. But it was cheap, and it'll run.

have any of you switched a motherboard on XPee without reinstalling?
does XPee just update drivers, or does it freak out? Can modern distros
of linux handle a situation like this?
