[KLUG Members] ftpcopy question

I've read the man page on ftpcopy, but I can't tell whether it will copy
all the files all the time, or only grab newer ones. I'm guessing it
just grabs everything from the remote directory every time. This is not
desirable as it will waste bandwidth. Why download the files that
already exist locally? Am I interpreting the behavior of ftpcopy
incorrectly?

Is there a better util to keep a local mirror up to date with a remote
ftp directory? TIA for any pointers in the right direction!
