Hi Tom,
A good alternative to hunting for "rescue" distros is to create the floppy from your distro cd. This way you have the 'proper' boot disk.You can use 'rawrite' which is a facility to create linux( worked for RH 7.3) boot disks.

PS: If your cd drive is broken, u can transfer the image from the cd to floppy on another machine.
