I would like to thank all for your assistance.  KLUG is the best group I
have ever belonged to.

My problem was I had the servername and the host name backwards.

The servername is the name of the Informix server.  NOT the name of the
computer that is a server hosting Informix.

The Host Name is the name of the Host computer that IS the server
Hosting Informix.

Sounds so simple now doesn't it. :-*)  That is egg on my face.
