[KLUG Members] Are Tcl/tk applications memory hogs?

I have been running a couple of applications written in Tcl/tk for
some time now (years), and they have, in general, been responsive,
fairly efficient, and relatively economical in use of memory.

After a recent upgrade to RH 9, one of the applications has gone
"wild", that is, it is using 20-40 TIMES as much memory as it used
to, and seems to consume memory over time, even if almost nothing
is going on. An older version of the same application (on a RH 7.1
box) is quite well-behaved.

I am persuing this with the development team for the application.

What I am looking for here are others that are essentially in the
same boat; if you've been runnning something in Tcl/tk for some
time, and have upgraded to RH 9, please check (and compare) your
memory use now with what it used to be, and I'd like to know if
you see the same problem.
