I'm trying to use talk on a server I have wunning RH7.3
When I try to start the talk server I get:

Socket operation on non-socket

?
I don't know what this means.

I just want to chat with other users on the same box. Do I even need this 
running for this?

When I try "talk user" I get:

 Error on read from talk daemon: Connection refused. Press any key... 

Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried dropping my firewall and I've made 
sure the talk service is set to start. I restart xinetd. I still can get 
it. I can't reboot this box though. It's remote and I don't have a 
keyboard on it so it'll stop on the BIOS.
