[KLUG Members] RE:RedHat 9 doesn't see USR internal modem-Minicom now working

No word on what dmesg found.

The latest word from the boss was that last night Minicom was able to
address the modem as a generic modem to get dial tone and dial-out.

The bad news.

He was trying to connect to AOL.

AOL would not recognize his logon name and password using minicom.

Using AOL software on a Windbloz box with same logon name and password
works.

I went to AOL.com but did not see a download for Linux.

Does AOL require you to use their software to connect or could this be a
problem between minicom and AOL?
