I agree, but just for a balanced argument, the demands/requirements of a
SOHO or small-business are not analagous to those of an "enterprise". 
At a certain point of scale/complexity the rules fundamentally change. 
I also have four databases (1 Informix instance, 1 MySQL instance, 3
PostgreSQL instances, and 1 Goldmine disease),  the ability to have *1*
would be a huge boon - and fundamentally I don't see why I can't have
*1* - had the developers of given applications been more "considerate"
of larger issues.

I really don't see anything in the thread that even vaguely resembles a
flame or holy war.  Behind the PostgreSQL/MySQL debate lie interesting
assumptions concerning application developement and deployment.  Both
PGSQL and MySQL are darn good - and fast to a certain point of scale -
databases.
