Main Concepts is putting out Main Actor 5 for Linux... this is a
great thing... I will still have to use my Mac for some special
effects work but this is a real boon.... it is commercial but would
be worth the $199 they are charging if you really want to do video
editing.....

It looks like some other stuff has been ported to Linux too.... check
out the article for info on three other programs that have been
ported... commercial programs but really good ones....

Maybe one day my main choice for special effects will be ported
too... again commercial but works great....

fxhome is the website for alamdv.... works in windows and mac right
now.... they have a gallery of stuff people have done with it ... you
should check it out to see some really awesome and well done amature
video projects...
