Years, but the move is in progress now. In 1997, KLUG started with ahandful
of members. This mailing list has about 250 members. Actual linux users are
probably a multiple of that, since there are numerous network administrators
who are KLUG members, often the only representatives of their organizations...

Growth rates and total user base is very hard to count, due primarily to
the number of distributors and distribution methods. However, it is very
clear that the use of Linux is becoming much more common and visible all
the time.
