I can set VMware instances to "bridged" and they attach to the physical
ethernet interface on my laptop (eth0). This works fine.
I see this process running -
12970 pts/3 S 0:00 /usr/bin/vmnet-bridge -d
/var/run/vmnet-bridge-0.pid /dev/vmnet0 eth0
I've also setup vmnet1 to be a bridge for eth1, which is my Orinoco
wireless card.
I see this process running -
12976 pts/3 S 0:00 /usr/bin/vmnet-bridge -d
/var/run/vmnet-bridge-1.pid /dev/vmnet1 eth1
Looks good.
Only setting a host to use vmnet1 as its interface doesn't work, it
can't acquire a DHCP address - while setting as vmnet0 works (assuming I
have a cable plugged in).
Anybody else seen this?
