Is there a way to force sendmail to use my ISP's smtp server? Basically so it forwards all outgoing mail through this hosts. I've done this with Novell GroupWise in the past.

I think you want to set a SMART_HOST.  Check /etc/mail/sendmail.mc,
edit, then generate a new sendmail.cf using "m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc >
sendmail.cf"
