[I beleve this to be true, but hold no actual facts...]
It all depends on your internet connection. If you happen to have
broadband get the basic.iso, start with a stage1, and emerge will grab all
the src packages off the internet.
basic.iso does not have the source packages on it.
Disk1.iso [not too sure on the name of the iso here, but disk one] has a
stage...2 or 3 tarball on it.
Disk2.iso+Disk1.iso has all the source packages, therefor you do not need
the internet connection.
I am sure of the first paragraph, but I get less sure as I go down.
I want to do a gentoo install on my laptop [not at work::no T1] so I will
probably be checking on this in a bit.
