[KLUG Members] Apache/tomcat/java

I can only assume that people here have worked with tomcat/apache/etc.
For those of you who have, I have a question for you.

I'm setting up apache 1.3.28/modssl with tomcat 3.3a (I can't go higher).
With that is coupled the IBM java2-13 JRE.

I'm installing a program called 'altio', which needs SSL protection. At
this point, tomcat is running, apache is running, java is running.
However, I'm stuck with getting java/tomcat to play nicely with SSL
certificates. I get `javax.net.ssl.SSLException: untrusted server cert
chain'.

I've googled extensively, and found some help pages:

http://ws.apache.org/soap/docs/install/FAQ_Tomcat_SOAP_SSL.html
http://jetty.mortbay.com/jetty/doc/JettyDebug.html
http://java.sun.com/products/jsse/FAQ.html
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-3.3-doc/tomcat-ssl-howto.html#s1

I've followed those, and other HOWTOs, by the letter. But I still get the
same error.

This is my first attempt at setting up tomcat and aaaalll that, and I'm
starting to feel like sisyphus, or at least like a person who's having a
huge joke played on them.

I can provide my config files if needed, but Tomcat is speaking ssl, java
is debugging extensively for SSL, and I've got my keystores set up
according to the docs (I've exported and imported every single key I could
find, still thinks it is untrusted.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Adam
