[KLUG Members] several of the messages posted to Members list have strange future datestamps

The KLUG server is time sync'ed via NTP (and correct, I just checked).
It also extremely well shielded, in a very deep basement.  :-)

If you look at the messages you are referring to, at the end here:
http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/pipermail/members/2004-April/date.html
you will notice all the messages with the wrong date were sent by the
same person.  It appears like Mr. Harding should check his PC's time.
