I am currently running squid and dansguardian for the school I am
presently at. It services about 100 workstations through the system
on a pretty wimpy box. It works really nicely and is easy to
configure and run. For the most part it just runs. The filtering is
adjusted through text files that are really easy to work with! I am
even running transparent proxy via iptables. It is really easy. The
iptables setup is really easy to work with if you are using webmin
also. And it is free for schools and personal use!!!! (Dansguardian
that is)
