Jamie,

No, I don't attend the Tue. Meetings... (Tuesdays isn't good for me.)
But I'll be glad to help you... email me off-list.

I got it working with no issues on slackware... As a matter-of-fact, The
only thing I did was ran a script to get all my video devices (I have a TV
card as well, works nice for both) and install motion. Slack loaded the
module for it as soon as I plugged them in... just point Motion to them and
edit some configs to your liking (blind spots, dark filters and whatnot)
I'm not sure about Debian, but as far as video4linux goes, I didn't touch it
other than making sure it was enabled in my kernel.

Adam E.

Hi Adam,

Are you going to be at the meeting this Tuesday by any chance? I'm
really curious about getting this working, I'd like to give it a
try. I haven't even tried video4linux and don't know what will be
required to get it to work. I do have a server free whose dmesg
claims that it has working USB ports, so maybe I'm halfway there :)

Sadly, the Debian package for video4linux is just source, apparently
version 0.0.1, and it says "For now, it's a bit limited, only
320*200 color (don't try other resolutions, it will hang your
computer)."

(BTW, I tried emailing you directly, but jasnetworks's mail server
rejected my effort as, apparently, spam:
