I prefer top posting (and reading top posts) because I want to get to 
the answer right away, without scrolling through the discussion. 
Judicious excising of superfluous text is really the key, not whether 
the post is top or bottom.

If I want to follow a thread, I can do that, viz., read each post from 
earler to later.  But I don't want to wade through everybody's comments 
-every- time just to see a particular person's answer.

Multiple questions/responses are best interspersed.
