This Sunday, April 25th, there is a computer sale at the Kalamazoo
County Fairgrounds, and KLUG will have a table there. We will be
talking to people about Linux and Free Software in general, and KLUG
and our activities in particular.
We'll be selling CD sets for a song, and serveral RACKMOUNT SERVERS
from one of our corporate supporters. Both will be available on an
"as-is" basis, but all of the above have track records as workhorses
in demanding environments. We'll be handing out flyers about who we
are and what we provide, and we'll be answering questions and talking
to people about any and all related topics.
KLUG is always looking for members who are willing and able to do the
face-to-face advocacy that is the primary reason for our presence at
these events. This is one of the front lines in our effort to inform
the public about Linux and other Free and Open Source software, and
making KLUG a more visible and vital organization. If you would like
to help us promote these ideas, please send a mail message expressing
your interest to me (bob@whizdomsoft.com), and I can tell you how to
help, when to appear, and so on. If you beleive you're an effective
advocate for Free Software, this is an excellent opportunity to show
it. If you'de like to learn, come and see what it takes to "sell"
some ideas directly.
We look forward to another successful sale in Kalamazoo, and we look
forward to seeing YOU there as well!
Regards,
