[KLUG Members] Importing a RootCA Certificate

I've creating a signing certificate for internal use.  I've signed host
certificates, and it all seems good.  I can import my rootCA certificate
in a Windows 2000 or Windows XP workstation my just double clicking on
"ca-cert.der" and then they are happy.

Where on earth do I drop this thing so that Linux apps using the OpenSSL
libraries stop whining about an unknown signing authority?
