[KLUG Members] x.org mouse question

Hey everybody, new address old member.

Question, I just wiped my laptop and re-installed gentoo.  Now I am
running with a 2.6.8 kernel and the x.org x server.  I didn't really
notice any diffrences, except perhaps it boots a bit faster and now
supports my webcam a little better.  I didn't, that is, until I
started up X, now my mouse runs *way* fast.  The usual fix for that,
xset m 0 0 , like I used to do doesn't work, as x.org dosn't seem to
have a xset.  

Both the internal trackpad [ps2 device] and the USB mouse are too fast
to be used, does anyone know how to slow them down without resorting
to installing KDE or Gnome for the control panels. [currently, happily
running ctwm]
