Hello,

I've been fighting with GRUB for a couple days now. I'm a bit clueless
at this point why it is acting stupid.

I have a server with a SuperMicro 370DLE motherboard, an Adaptec 2100S
RAID card (data drive) and an IDE system drive. It was running RH8.2 but
I'm migrating it to Suse 9.2, or at least trying.

I can boot up the Suse 9.2 install, everything is detected, and the
install goes smoothly, until it reboots.

I get up to the message "GRUB loading stage2..." and the system hangs,
CTRL-ALT-DEL has no effect. No boot menu, never even gets to loading the
kernel, no error messages.

How does one go about diagnosing the problem?

Thanks,
John
