I use GRUB on quite a few SuSE 9.2 boxes without a problem.

The only thing I ran into was when upgrading to SuSE 9.1 to 9.2,
some of the grub stage files didn't get updated correctly, causing
the box not to boot without fixing it.  That does NOT seem to be a
problem on a fresh install of 9.2.
