Sounds like Whitebox Linux (same attributes of being a current RedHat clone).
It is identical, except they go through all code and strip out REdHat's name
everywhere.

The reason I have seen people go to WhiteBox or CentOS solutions is because:
1. They had adequate resources to be self-sufficient (no support calls)
and
2. Their Enterprise software is only supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

If you need that paid support model, then go with RedHat.
While if you are looking for long-living distribution, any of the mainstream
distributions will work for you.

The purpose of these Generic RedHats is to prevent vendors trying to 'lock you
in'. How many times have you seen software that said 'Microsoft Windows support
only'. It is everywhere and it is absolutely ludicrous.

This mindset is dangerous. So when a vendor says, 'We only provide install
scripts and binary compatibles for RedHat Enterprise version xx', you have a
direct exact equivalent.
