[KLUG Members] MP3 Player?

My wife wants a MP3 player for xmas.  (yeah, I'm late :)

Not a software program, but one of those little boxes that clip to a
belt, has a set of headphones attached, and plays MP3's.

Since I don't have any Windows boxes (and no plans for one), I need a
player that is Linux compatible.  Nothing fancy, I only need to plug the
player into a USB port and have it function like a USB flash drive so I
can copy MP3 files to/from the player.

The main feature I'd like on the player is for it to remember where it
was when it's turned off and have it resume at the same place next time.
And playing the files in the order I copied them to the player would be
nice too.  (This device is mainly for audio books, not music.)

Suggestions for a good Linux compatible MP3 player?
