I am now looking deeper into Security of my box since having it online full
time now.. I am on a DSL connection and am using firehol as the firewall. I
have used nessus from my machine and also some security scanning websites
and they could not see anything besides doing a traceroute to my machine..
so I am wondering why my machine is logging all these and where I can find
information on what the entire string means so I can look into shoring up
any loose ends that I am not finding through my other scans. The following
is from my system log file.

Feb 9 23:51:12 localhost kernel: i8253 count too high! resetting..

Feb 11 07:20:11 localhost kernel: IN-interface1:IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC=
SRC=212.202.14.30 DST=68.72.X.X LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=42
ID=42346 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=3464 DPT=4662 WINDOW=5808 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0

any help is greatly appreciated
