haha that's funny I just put my Palm IIIxe out on ebay.. It worked with
Linux just fine.. would I recommend it, not particularly that model because
it uses 2 AAA batteries so you get about 1 to 2 weeks of decent use out of
it and then gotta change batteries.. I would find a Visor Platinum or a Palm
with a rechargable built in battery if you plan on heavy use of it.

Subject: [KLUG Members] Palm device for Linux
Hi all,
I'm looking to get a new PDA and Linux compatibility is important! The
pilot-link project makes it look like just about anything but the very
newest of
the new will work. I could get a Palm III, V, or m10x series for a decent
price
on ebay, but the Zire and Tungsten seem to be the latest incarnations. I
intend
to sync it with Evolution. Any recommendations, including what to avoid, are
appreciated. I've not had good luck getting my Sony Clie' to connect to
Linux
and I want to avoid that trouble this time.
