It is time to see if KLUG members can TEAM UP and PULL OUR SHARE
of THE WEIGHT!

We can put in an appearance at a community event, gain some
general recognition, have some fun, and benefit some important
charities, all at the same time.

There's an event coming up that will allows us to do all of the
above, and it requires YOUR help and participation.

The Event: The 2004 "Tug of War" benefiting GOODWILL INDUSTRIES
of Southwest Michigan and FRAGILE X SYNDROME (the leading
cause of inherited mental retardation). Each Participant
in the event donates $25.00 toward the above charities.

The Weight: A BOEING 727, located on the tarmac at KALAMAZOO
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. This jet transport aircraft
weighs about 100,000 pounds, or 50 tons.

The Contest: Instead of pulling the OTHER teams, each team competes
by pulling THE ABOVE AIRPLANE a distance of 12 FEET.

OUR TASK: Create a TEAM of KLUG members and other supporters of
LINUX and THE FREE SOFTWARE MOVEMENT. Line up our
contributions and COMPETE by PULLING THAT AIRPLANE!
To make a team, we need 20 people.

TO JOIN THE TEAM: Please Respond to tug-of-war@whizdomsoft.com
                  by MARCH 18th, 2004.

The TUG OF WAR will take place on SATURDAY, March 27th, at the
Airport. Check-in Times for THE TEAM starts at 9 AM, THE
COMPETITION runs from 10 AM to 4 PM.

We will receive A TEAM T-SHIRT and TEAM PHOTO taken AT THE EVENT.

HELP form a TEAM and wear that shirt WITH PRIDE.

HELP us SHOW that KLUG can PULL it's weight, on the runway and in
the community!

I look forward to your reply!
