At the bottom of an IPCop-user Email I received, there is this
"ad":

-------------------------------------------------------
This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
Become an expert in LINUX or just sharpen your skills. Sign up for
IBM's
Free Linux Tutorials. Learn everything from the bash shell to sys
admin.
Click now! http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=1278&alloc_id=3371&op=click
-------------------------------------------------------

You can also find this tutorial and others by going to:
http://ibm.com/developerworks/linux/

About in the middle of the IBM page, there is a section titled
"Learning resources" and it has some links that might be helpful
for Newbie’s:
"New to Linux" and "Tutorials: Linux foundation series".

QUESTION #1: I "assume" the link in the IPCop Email "pays" OSDN a
few pennies when I click on that link. Right?

QUESTION #2: Has anyone tried/used the IBM tutorials? Any good?

QUESTION #3: What about posting these links on our Website here:
http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/linky/index.php?category=Novice
(There are currently no links in this category.)

QUESTION #4: If "we" do post these links, should we use the
"straight" IBM links, or the OSDN "ad" link? If we use the OSDN
link, would we be benefiting OSDN? Or, can the KLUG get its own
tracking link from OSDN or IBM to help us?

Mike

P.S. I posted this to the Members list to make sure more people
see this message, not just the people subscribed to the Novices
list.
