Andrew,

Contrary to what the VNC docs make you think, you don't have to have a linux
server running SSHd to go between a windows server and windows clients.

I don't do it often, but on my LAN, I have used VNC over SSH port forwarding
tunnels directly between two windblows clients.

The documentation on the VNC site is good for concepts, but it is usually
very old and out of date. These days most firewalls have port forwarding
capabilities so you don't have to have sshd running on the firewall to do
the port forwarding for you as described in the VNC examples.

Since SSH came out of the Unix world, the examples on the VNC web site
presume you can't run SSH and SSHd directly on windows boxen. Now, Cygwin
allows you to setup Linux services such as SSHd to run on windows servers
and there are some very good SSH clients for windows.

Since the details are all windows related, I will email you directly on how
I do this.

Regards,

Bob
