[KLUG Members] Help for upgrade to Samba 3.0.1 (LDAPSAM) fm 2.2.8a anybody?

Bingo!! Here is what I did.

1. I created an account uid=root and made it a member of Domain Admins.
2. I removed posixAccount so that Linux would not see it.
3. I added objecclass=sambaSamAccount to the machine's account.
4. I restarted my client box and used my old procedure for adding the
cleint to the domain with the exception that I used root/rootspw to join
the domain.

...and viola! I can now get it to join the domain. Now lets see what
other problems I've got.

Note that 3 above was the real issue since the other things had been
tried before.

Now I am going to see if I can actualy log in.... Yahooo!!! It works, it
works... now I will leave the domain and log out, delete the machine
record to see if it can add one automatically or not.... I'm expecting
it not to because I've been tweaking with the perms... Hmmmm Yup, sure
enough, looks like I've got trouble with getting the scripts to behave
properly but it is not perms.  I'll work on that and then move to perms.

Hmmm... acually can't net3 be used to do all the stuff that manage this
stuff?
